To provide individuals and families with the greatest level of support possible during their road to recovery from Substance Abuse.​

HISTORY

Contact Counseling was started in the late 1970’s by Patricia Asheim as a DUI alcohol/drug  assessment agency. After Pat retired in 1999, Bob Chambers took the helm. As the new director, Steve Burger took Contact Counseling in a new direction, adding outpatient services in
the summer of 2021. Steve started his personal recovery journey on May 18, 1988 and began his internship one year later, becoming fully credentialed as a SUDP in 1990. He has worked in
outpatient and inpatient treatment centers, as a school interventionist, in a youth wilderness program, and spent 7 years as a SUDP for Lummi Nation. He has provided assessments at Contact Counseling since 2008. He started Full-Contact Recovery Support Services in 2013, which has provided structured sober living to hundreds of persons seeking recovery.
