DRUG AND ALCOHOL ASSESSMENTSWHAT IS AN ASSESSMENT?The purpose of an assessment is to help determine if an individual has a substance use disorder. During the assessment, the counselor will discuss personal history, family, and relationship with alcohol and other drugs. The counselor will also work with you to determine an appropriate recommendation.
WHY DO I NEED AN ASSESSMENT?There are many reasons people seek an assessment. Many of our clients are dealing with DUIs or other legal matters, and plan to use the assessment for court. Others obtain assessments so they can take the first step towards recovery.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?A typical assessment lasts between an hour and a half to two hours. The appointment will begin with some questionnaires and a urinalysis, followed by a one-on-one conversation with one of our counselors.
HOW CAN I SIGN UP?To sign up for an assessment, you can come to our office to sign up in person, or use the contact form to the right to contact us and arrange payment ans schedule an appointment. Please note: If you have a pending court case, we need to have your CHR (Criminal History Report). You can get this at no-cost at the 4th floor of the District Court or order online through Washington State Patrol at a cost of $11.00 (Here). |
